Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Gilkass lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Mason and was forced into it by her family.

Description: He appears as an extremely gaunt Half-Elf, and stands approximately 5'11". He wears dark leathers with embroidery, and his gloved hand is found clutching a sword. He sports a long silver beard, and similarly colored long hair. His violet eyes peer out from beneath his feathered yellow hat.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. Henry is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Her skin is also unnaturally pale. Her hair is long and silver with streaks of chestnut, and is pulled back with small white clips. She wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Scribe born in the past three hundred years. She has a habit of throwing herself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered painting. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Scribe for the past few years.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and she is unsatisfied with her job

Description: He wears tight fitting pants and leather jackets. He usually doesn't wear a shirt, and he perpetually has his quarterstaff ready. His white hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. His green eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Roofer. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Roofer. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and to be a carter again
