History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Rael. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
