She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with his Sage mother left him crippled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
