When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ploughman hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

After months of barely getting by, Thakrak managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
