History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Astar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He is dressed in a clean white cloak covering his clean studded leather. His brown hair is thinning but still full. He has a dull look in his amber eyes.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. He disdains his fellow southerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Through the years after Hamil was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Hamil's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
