History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Spring was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Sculptor. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and to unite with her sister

History: She was born into a rich family. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the east; and she is greedy
