Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He struck the Gardener job and began his own company from there.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Rolf was born on a far eastern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Weaver. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She comes from a rich western family. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Manea was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many giants want her driven away; and she is greedy
