History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Emma was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions
