History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Balifra was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her childhood dream was to be a Jeweler, but she was a colossal failure. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 15 years.

Description: An older woman who is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time, she is not a threatening figure. Her purple hair has been sun bleached extensively. Her eyes are gold and she is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was raised in a forest tribe. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a old dungeon. She would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Verin took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up sword and armor she uses now. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her parents enrolled her in a Warrior school at a young age so that she could practice her divine talents. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His hair is short and white. His eyes are red and catlike.

Personality: Mantus wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Monk, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.
