History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Ishmoz alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Ishmoz was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Katherine was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Katherine decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
