Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Veloptima embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. The war was a terrible time for her, and Veloptima does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Her divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Veloptima has worked very hard to control her curse. After a long history of fighting, Veloptima and her spouse have recently divorced.

Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep black leather and dull pastel iron scale mail. His silver crest, when down, is lengthy. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are gold.

Personality: Mehen hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his painting career. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At some point he was captured by dire rats and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Description: Her right thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise she appears quite healthy. She is well dressed, constantly wearing a white suit, brown shirt, and white tie. Her hair is white, silky, and of moderate length. Her otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing painting.

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. A freak accident while working with her Bricklayer mother left her crippled. Being a Cartwright kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day

Description: This younger middle-aged man prefers to wear yellow pants and tee shirts, and a wedding ring on his left hand. His auburn hair, when down, is lengthy. His green eyes peer out from beneath his feathered yellow hat.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Wymar's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Wymar was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
