History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. Being a Dilettante kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. He has all his life been fascinated with singing.

History: Emerald was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Layabout work with an outfit from a few towns over. Layabout work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Layabout and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult; and he will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact
