History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Shifting hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. She has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Shifting was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
