History: Born in the south to a Cartwright, Susannah learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and balancing her hectic life and new cartwright responsibilities is difficult

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: She uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs; and she is greedy

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered north to less war torn lands. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She seems to be bored by most things; and a deep hatred of giants
