She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Gnomish artifacts is her passion; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Valida's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She struck the Blacksmith job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
