Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Mardred was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mardred grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mardred. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Kite was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: He was born into a rich family. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and his religion dominates his actions

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Windy abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature warhammer.
