History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He found a children's book about a Gnome Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. After a long history of fighting, Burgell and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Balifra was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: She wants revenge against brigands; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Ekk grew up listening to her father's many stories. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature club.
