History: Born to a Masseuse, her father struggled to pay the bills. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Unvera alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Through the years after Pyra was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Pyra's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
