History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A gifted student he started as a Crown-heir, but he got bored and became a Tailor. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and sabotage a competitor

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She wants revenge against giants; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it
