History: He was born on a small isolated farm. When Zook reached his early adolescence his Gnome father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: She was born at the edge of vast desert. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
