History: Born in the east to a Dilettante, Luthra learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying east to reunite her family. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Dilettante for hire.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
