History: Mella was born in the south. At a young age she loved to build and create. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Fisher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has achieved small success as a Ploughman.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Beiro alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. A freak accident while working with her Merchant father left her crippled. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and nothing but the best is good enough for her
