History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Dyer profession.

History: Kipper was born the youngest of three triplets. A gifted student he started as a Dyer, but he got bored and became a Sage. He has taken up work as a Sage and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and obtaining odd cultural gnomish artifacts is her passion
