He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 4 years.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: Therlin was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Dwarf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was granted divine powers by her dying sister.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Kathra was born on a far northern desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Soapmaker. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
