Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. A true patriot, Patrin would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she wears a blue tunic with yellow highlights, and long red pants that bunch up around her shoes. She is bald on top and has large golden tufts of hair around her ears. She wears an eyepatch.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Slave Trader but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Slave Trader work with an outfit from a few towns over. Slave Trader work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She has a crush on the local Fletcher; and wants to open a new tavern

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Through the years after Mishann was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Mishann's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and she feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his singing with anyone who is interested.

History: The child of a Spy, who enjoyed hunting, Ahvain was taken on many hunting expeditions. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
