He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Aelar is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Aelar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared.
