History: Bertram lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Baz was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
