History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Berrian alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents enrolled him in a Fighter school at a young age so that he could practice his arcane talents. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
