History: Cumpen was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Gnome Bard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
