History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. Serpent was born on a far southern island where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Miller. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: The child of a Dilettante, who enjoyed hunting, Grigi was taken on many hunting expeditions. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Grigi fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Aelar was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Anne was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She has never given up on her writing dream.
