History: Merla was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

Personality: Prone to second guessing herself, she comes off as nervous. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this western guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him.

History: Tod hails from a village terrorized by goblins. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
