History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Oriax grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Oriax. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. At a young age her mother died while driving off some orcs. Her father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in bastard sword use. After a long history of fighting, Gynnie and her spouse have recently divorced.
