Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: Born in the west to a Detective, Valafar learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Detective for hire.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Being a Architect kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

She wears a brown costume with the symbols of the four houses of cards on her torso. She wears her black hair up. Her gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Through the years after Matilda was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Matilda's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Carter. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
