Description: A middle-aged man, he wears blue robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a sword, but if one is not available he will default to his morningstar, and is pretty ugly. He has a very tight haircut. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Fletcher business.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Heian alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Like her mother and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Stylist. She tends to her Stylist job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: She was born at the edge of vast desert. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She has achieved small success as a Scribe.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and her religion dominates her actions
