History: Jaxi hails from a village terrorized by goblins. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Priest. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: Andraste was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Jeweler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Jeweler work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
