Description: 5'3" and muscular, this southern man wears a fancy violet suit. He has wavy white hair. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When Varis reached his early adolescence his Half-Elf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Pearl embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.

Description: This woman prefers to wear the grand gowns of high society. She carries her fan with her everywhere and carries herself as the perfect lady, and sports empty pouches on her belt. Her hair is long and auburn with streaks of black, and is pulled back with small brown clips. Her eyes are a pleasant brown.

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: She is greedy.

Description: She is well dressed, but even with her fine clothing she looks run-down. She cuts an attractive figure and her suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. She keeps her blonde hair in a pixie cut. Her green eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She is a thrill seeker, she laughs at people and throws down challenges. She is highly competitive and combative.

History: She was born in the east. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature mace.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.
