Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: Her voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl she speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of her tone. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Helen lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Gnomish companion (her 'brother'). When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gifted student he started as a Fortune-teller, but he got bored and became a Architect. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Architect responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. Volen is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her first spouse was a Roofer, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son.
