History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Mindartis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world.

Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His long silver hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines violet.

Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the north were limited. After a long history of fighting, Bertram and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and to end his boredom
