History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. History: Merihim lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Guard and was forced into it by his family; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
