History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She dropped out of school to support her sick father, and resented it. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion
