Description: A middle-aged woman, she wears a worn and beaten armor, and is pretty ugly. She has a long black ponytail with little hanging trinkets. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines amber.

Personality: She hates gnolls. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when she was still a young child. The gnolls captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Volen was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: Many gnolls want her driven away.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Engraver responsibilities is difficult.

History: Bardryn was born in the south. At a young age she loved to build and create. Her arcane abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and doesn't want to be a adventurer and was forced into it by her family

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he is dressed in earthy colors with a black and grey handkerchief worn on his left side. He has black hair. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Vassago abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and to get a good night's sleep
