Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: Umpen was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and many gnolls want him driven away
