Description: This slender man stands about 3'7". He is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His broad hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His green unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Umpen lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His childhood dream was to be a Knight, but he was a colossal failure. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Description: She wears a grey vest and prefers brown and red shirts. Her boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. She has no hair. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines gray.

Personality: She is a hateful person. She taunts others and blames them for her problems. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now mingles about in high society.

Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Halflings. His skin is light but he possesses many yellow ritualistic tattoos. He wears a fine chain shirt which he covers with white colored cloaks and clothing. He sports a flattop hair cut. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He thrives on attention. He does whatever is in his power to gain the attention of whomever he deems a fit date. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and revenge

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized black coat, and is pretty ugly. He wears a deerstalker hat to cover his moderate length purple hair. He has gleaming, smiling black eyes.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Carter. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A freak accident while working with his Cook mother left him crippled. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Carter.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Carter responsibilities is difficult; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
