History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Aldous fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Oriel has worked very hard to control her curse. During her travels, Oriel and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Oriel discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Oriel fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
