History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 6 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Jacoba never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

Personality: Mary hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Mary was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
